Treatment of obsessive morbid jealousy with cognitive analytic therapy: a mixed-methods quasi-experimental case study

This paper evaluates the effectiveness of 8-sessions cognitive analytic therapy (CAT) for obsessive morbid jealousy (OMJ). The evaluation method was a mixed-methods A/B with follow-up single-case design. Ideographic measures were collected throughout baseline (2 sessions), treatment (6 sessions) and phases (one session) creating 160-day time series. Nomothetic completed at assessment, end follow-up. A structured qualitative interview completed. Significant reductions to idiographic occurred during phase, these gains maintained over intensity shifted from moderate mild this change attributed CAT. Methodological issues future directions OMJ are discussed.
